Week Beginning 29th June
Following on from Liverpool’s success, we looked at how we could make a football using recycled materials. We watched a video and listened carefully to a set of instructions and then had a go at making our own. It was quite tricky to do… we were learning how to tie knots and weave the string! Then we had a ‘ball’ seeing how durable it was… and they all survived the playing test! ![]()

Week Beginning 22nd June
Today we celebrated our city’s football achievements by making our own trophys, goal posts and footballs. We had a throwing competition with veg and a water balloon fight on the field!
As it is Stem week we have reused and recycled items to make a scarecrow and mini golf and snooker. We’ve been following the children’s interests as they want to be engineers and inventors!
